Salvation Army Food Drive (November 2023)
Our company participated in the Salvation Army Food Drive for the entire month of November at both our Pennsylvania and Minnesota offices! Food gathered went to the Salvation Army, which distributes it to locals in need!
Cauzzle Sponsorship on Behalf of the Potato Head Project
AK is sponsoring a NICU Warriors puzzle on behalf of the Potato Head Project! Cauzzle is a small, family-owned business that designs custom puzzles and donates a portion of every sale to important causes (like the PHP!). Pack to the Max 2023 (November 16th)
Our team attended Second Harvest Heartland’s 8th annual Pack to the Max event on November 16th. At this event, volunteers pack meals for local families and individuals in need so that no one has to go hungry this holiday season. Games for Charity (October 2023)
The GBC Team played a lively round of BINGO on October 25th, 2023, to raise funds for Games for Charity! The winner was given the unique opportunity to donate all pooled funds to the charity of their choice. What better way to play than for a good cause?

2023 Walk to End Alzheimers (MN, PA, FL)
We have team members across the nation, which gives us the unique opportunity to have GBC representatives at three different Alzheimer’s Walks! The GBC will attend the PA walk on September 9th, the MN walk on September 30th, and the FL walk on October 28th. The Alzheimer’s Association hosts these walks nationwide to fund Alzheimer’s research and treatment. MN Firefighters Foundation 6th Annual Golf Fundraiser (September 11th)
The GBC sponsored a hole at the MN Firefighters Foundation’s 6th annual golf fundraiser on September 11, 2023, at Fox Hollow Golf Course. Our AK representatives set up a table and handed out free gifts to 33 groups of golfers!
United Way Day of Caring (September 13th)
The Pocono Mountains United Way Day of Caring happened on September 13, 2023, and our team showed up to support the cause. Magnus & Friends Festival (August 2023)
The GBC and members of AK Material Handling Systems sponsored and attended the Magnus and Friends Festival on Saturday, August 19th, 2023. Magnus is a veterans’ foundation committed to bridging the gap between military service and home, providing exceptional services for Veterans and their families.
Maple Grove Days Parade (July 2023)
The GBC took on the Maple Grove Days Parade for the third year in a row! We love showing up and joining in this event with our fantastic Maple Grove Community. Thanks to everyone who came out to watch the parade! We handed out more candy than we even thought possible!
Reach For Ralph (June 22, 2023)
Hammer Residences is a nonprofit disability services organization that provides care, housing, and support services for people with disabilities. Magnus Veterans Foundation Golf Classic (June 9th, 2023)
Brian, Pete, Jerry, and Josh – Participated in the 3rd Annual Magnus Veterans Foundation Golf Classic. With the support of the GBC Team and all the team members, we helped raise awareness and honor our nation’s heroes, helping Magnus provide the resources they need to bridge the gap between service and home.

Our Give Back Team attended the Twin Cities Walk to End Alzheimers on September 17th, 2022. This is the largest Alzheimers walk in the nation and we were grateful to be apart of it!
Relay For Life (June 16, 2023)
The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life is an opportunity to fundraise and join together for cancer research and care. The GBC sponsored three Relay events and attended the East Stroudsburg, PA relay. We are proud to partner with this organization and look forward to a future free of cancer. Maple Grove Days Parade (July 2022)
The GBC was honored to walk the 2022 Maple Grove Days Parade. We walked with the Maple Grove police department flying a National Night Out flag for the upcoming citywide get-together!
Potato Head Project Fundraiser (March 2022)
The Potato Head Project is a nonprofit organization that supports families in the NICU with premature babies. The GBC joined the PHP on March 28th, 2022, at the Elk River, MN, Pizza Ranch to buss and clean tables. Together with the PHP team members, we raised over $1,000 to support the PHP and its preemie care package program.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing (December 2021)
We braved the cold outside of the Maple Grove Lunds & Byerlys to ring bells and raise money for the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army builds programs to meet community needs from disaster relief, to job training, and everything in between. Pocono Mountains Community Fundraiser- October 2021
GBC is proud to support the 2021 Pocono Mountains Community Fundraiser that helps local non-profit organizations increase the quality of life in Monroe County, PA. One of the recipients of this grant is DES Developmental Education Services of Monroe County which provides human service needs, education, and social services for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Walk To End Alzheimer’s PA- October 2021
The Give Back Crew was excited to participate in Monroe County’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Tannersville, PA, and be part of the Top 10 fundraising teams. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. It is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide. Walk To End Alzheimer’s MN – September 2021
This September GBC members were able to take part in the Walk To End Alzheimer’s in the Twin Cities. We had many furry friends join us as members walked along official routes, as well as doing the walk from their homes. The GBC raised over 700 dollars for the cause, and if you would still like to contribute you can Donate Here!
United Way Day Of Caring – September 2021
“It was great to volunteer today! A small school no longer used in Mount Pocono was converted into a place that houses many social services for the community. It was great to see the resources available. I helped organize books in a small library that has been mainly used for the Head Start program at the same location. Head Start is an educational program for young children for economically challenged families in our community.” – Linda Anlauf, Director of Inside Sales, WPRP.
National Night Out – August 2021
The GBC partnered with the Maple Grove Police Department, more specifically the Crime Prevention Officer, to promote National Night Out 2021 during the Maple Grove Days parade. We supplied the candy and the manpower to hand it out along the parade route.
GBC’s Games For Charity- August 2021
The GBC held it’s annual Games For Charity event. Employees’ competed in a heated game of Pictionary for a chance to donate $400 to a charity that was special to them. In the end, Marketing Specialist, Max Bulver, secured the win by just one point. Max chose to donate the money to The Aliveness Project!
Bedrace For Bridging – March 2021
The GBC Team raised funds for Bridging MN – a Twin Cities area nonprofit that provides donated furniture and household goods to families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. Due to COVID-19, the team bed race that is normally held in conjunction with this drive was postponed until 2022.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing – December 2020
We returned to Lunds and Byerly’s in Maple Grove, MN to ring bells, raise funds, and bring a little holiday cheer. It was our ninth year in a row participating in this event at various locations.
Toys for Tots Drive – December 2020
The GBC Team in Minnesota collected over $500 worth of toys for the Minneapolis-St. Paul area Toys for Tots campaign.
United Way Day of Caring September 2020
Our team members in Pennsylvania participated in the Monroe County United Way Day of Caring’s virtual event. We took the time to send handmade cards to the local food pantry to make a positive difference in some people’s day.
ICA Food Shelf Gather for Good Campaign – May-June 2020
The Give Back Crew flexed their creative muscles for ICA’s Gather for Good campaign. The Gather for Good campaign replaced ICA’s summer campaigns that were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gathering by distance with family and friends in an outdoor setting was encouraged and we showed how we would do that in our campaign video – which won most creative in the campaign! Salvation Army Bell Ringing – December 2019

Operation Christmas Child – November 2019
The GBC team collected toys, hygiene items, and school supplies for Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse. The ‘shoeboxes’ are shipped outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.

The Give Back Crew took part in Second Harvest Heartland‘s Pack to the Max Extravaganza and attended a breakfast supporting CROSS Services Peace of Mind Fund.
#911 Day; Blanket Benefit for Bridging – 9/11/2019
To honor and remember the victims of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and to help transform Sept. 11 from a day of tragedy into a day of doing good, the AK Team worked together today to create four blankets to donate to Bridging of Minnesota.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing – 12/14/18
One of our favorite team events is the annual Salvation Army bell ringing. On December 14th, Give Back Crew members will again ring the bell for the Salvation Army’s annual red kettle fundraiser that runs from November through Christmas Eve. The GBC shift will last from 2 to 6 PM, so be sure to stop by and say hi!
Walk to End Alzheimer’s (PA) – 9/29/18
Shortly after the Minnesota crew walks in the Twin Cities Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the Pennsylvania team will walk in the Monroe County Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The Monroe County Walk to End Alzheimer’s is located at East Stroudsburg University, not far from WPRP’s East Stroudsburg warehouse. The fundraising goal for the Monroe County Walk to End Alzheimer’s is $41,070. You can see the WPRP Rockstars’ team page here.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s Twin Cities – 9/15/18
Alzheimer’s is a disease that affects nearly every single one of us, either directly or indirectly. On Saturday, September 15th, member of the Minnesota GBC team will walk in the 2018 Twin Cities Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Target Field. This year’s walk will aim to raise $1.6MM in the fight against Alzheimer’s. To learn more about the event, head to the event page or check out the Minnesota GBC team page here.
Second Harvest Heartland Pack Event – 5/17/18
May 17th marks the day when the Minnesota GBC will return to Second Harvest Heartland to pack meals for neighbors in need. Second Harvest is among the nation’s largest network of food banks, working to store and distribute food to food-insecure community members right in our own neighborhoods. In August, the team packed 1,390 pounds of food. This May, they’ll look to break their own record to help hungry Minnesotans.
March for Babies (PA) – 5/5/18
On May 5th, the Pennsylvania Give Back Crew team will walk in the Northeast Pennsylvania March for Babies. The goal of the March for Babies is to help more babies be born healthy by providing resources to mothers from preconception to post-delivery. Relay for Life (PA)
On April 6th, members from the Pennsylvania division of the Give Back Crew linked up at East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. The Relay for Life is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society, and this year’s East Stroudsburg relay raised over $25,000.
Bridging Bedrace
Last March, eight team members from the Minnesota wing of the Give Back Crew gathered at Buck Hill in Burnsville, Minnesota for the 20th annual Bedrace for Bridging. Bridging is a Twin Cities-based charity that furnishes homes for those in need. Bridging’s annual Bedrace fundraiser pits teams of four against one another as they race mattresses — real mattresses — down Buck Hill. This year, the fundraiser brought in over $113,000!
